Dean Gilger | CPA, Enrolled Agent, Certified Management Accountant
Mr. Gilger is the owner and principal of Applied Tax Resource Group Inc. Mr. Gilger’s background includes more than 20 years of experience in the accounting industry in both corporate and public accounting. Mr. Gilger began his career in corporate accounting where he held the positions of Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer for two divisions of the InterPublic Group of Companies, a Fortune 500 company.
Mr. Gilger is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, is authorized to practice before the Internal Revenue Service as an Enrolled Agent and is a Fellow of the National Tax Practice Institute. Mr. Gilger holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a Masters of Accounting degree from the University of Southern California.
Kim Harris | Client Services and Accounting Assistant
Ms. Harris is a valuable member of the ATRG team. She and founder Dean Gilger have worked together for more than a decade.
Ms. Harris wears many hats, from supporting clients and overseeing projects to assembling tax returns and supervising office administrative duties. Her prior career in the hospitality industry is evidenced through her warm and responsive services to all of our clients and associates.
Ms. Harris holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from San Diego State University. Her post-undergraduate education includes course work in accounting, bookkeeping and taxes.
In 2014 Ms. Harris completed certification requirements from the California Tax Education Council (CTEC) and is qualified as a California Registered Tax Preparer (CRTP).
Melynda Biller | Administrative Assistant
Ms. Biller joined ATRG in 2016. She brings experience in basic bookkeeping and payroll, and assists with various administrative tasks.
Ms. Biller graduated from California State University San Marcos with a degree in Marketing and Global Business Management. She has a passion for international business and joined the Global Business Management Association where she served as the VP of Marketing, and as its Treasurer and President. Ms. Biller completed her final semester with a study abroad in the Netherlands. During this time she focused her studies on conducting business and marketing in Latin America.
